Job Description:

We are seeking an entry level Hardware Test Automation Engineer to help develop automated test solutions for hardware platforms that include diverse digital, analog, and RF interfaces. This role focuses on validating communication ports, relays, RF interfaces, analog & digital circuits, LEDs, push buttons, and other board‑level I/O using automation frameworks and lab instrumentation. You will work with experienced engineers while building hands‑on skills in hardware validation, automation, and instrumentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Automate board‑level I/O testing across Ethernet, serial interfaces (UART/SPI/I2C/etc.), relays, RF modules, ADC circuits, LEDs, push buttons, and digital I/O.
  • Develop automation scripts for functional, regression, and performance tests.
  • Build and maintain test fixtures for signal injection, RF setups, relay actuation, ADC simulation, LED sensing, etc.
  • Integrate and control lab instruments (oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, RF analyzers, signal generators) under automation.
  • Analyze test results and help debug issues using waveforms, logs, and electrical measurements.
  • Support improvements in test coverage and execution efficiency, contributing to documentation and test processes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Foundational understanding of hardware interfaces such as Ethernet, UART/SPI/I2C serial communication, ADC fundamentals, analog & digital circuits, and relays.
  • Basic programming or scripting experience (Python, etc.) with a strong desire to expand automation skills.
  • Hands‑on exposure to lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies) through coursework, labs, or internships.
  • Ability to read datasheets and interpret simple schematics.
  • Strong problem‑solving ability and interest in debugging hardware/embedded systems.
  • Eagerness to learn new test tools, frameworks, and measurement techniques.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Internship or project experience involving hardware testing or embedded systems.
  • Familiarity with automated test frameworks or instrument‑control libraries.
  • Understanding of RF basics (signal strength, frequency, bandwidth, etc).

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Clear communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with hardware, firmware, and QA teams.
  • Curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn quickly in a technical environment.
