Job Description:

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for analyzing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving production processes, equipment, and tooling. This role provides advanced technical support, leads continuous improvement initiatives, supports new product introduction, and ensures compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, maintain, and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Implement fixtures and poka‑yoke solutions to enhance process reliability.
  • Define and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Train production personnel on new processes and coordinate production start‑up activities.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and participate in Kaizen and OPEX events.
  • Generate and implement engineering changes (ECOs).
  • Prepare quotations for new or modified equipment, tools, and materials with a cost‑reduction focus.
  • Track and communicate project progress on a regular basis.
  • Establish appropriate inventory levels and monitor spare‑parts consumption.
  • Develop and maintain safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LoTo).
  • Provide technical support to the Maintenance team to ensure execution of preventive maintenance.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned according to departmental needs and company guidelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a similar manufacturing engineering role within a production environment.
  • Bilingual: English/Spanish.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Oracle, AutoCAD, and Minitab.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with ISO9001, UL, and CSA standards.
  • Experience as a process, product, or maintenance engineer.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and PLC programming.
  • Knowledge of automated test systems (hydraulic, pneumatic, PLCbased, etc.).
  • Knowledge of TIG, brazing, and laser welding processes.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and modify product and equipment drawings.
  • Strong skills in statistics and advanced mathematics.
  • Demonstrated continuous improvement capabilities.
