Job Description:
Qualifications and skills
- Minimum 5 years of IT professional experience in analytics, building dashboard using Power BI and MS Fabric
- Experience of 5+ years in data preparation, data source integration and databases
- Experience of 5+ years and familiarity with Microsoft Business Intelligence Stack having Power BI, SSAS, SSRS, SSIS, ODBC queries against Oracle, SQL and other databases
- 3 to 4 years of experience working in connecting Power BI to data in star schema design
- Full understanding of the processes of data quality, data cleansing, and data transformation
- Experience with SQL scripting and other SQL application utilities
- Should have knowledge and skills for secondary tools such as Microsoft Azure, SQL data warehouse, Visual Studio, etc.
- Comfortable in manipulating, integrating, analyzing complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying, variety of sources
- Ability to effectively communicate with business management to analyze requirements, translate to technical specifications, prototype design and deploy analytical BI solutions
- Demonstrate analytical thinking skills for translating business data into informative visuals and reports.
- Expertise in using advance level calculations on the data set.
- Ability to effectively interact with, present information to, and respond to questions from all levels of the organization users
Roles and responsibilities will be:
- Power BI development and administration of model changes
- Building Analysis Services reporting models.
- Developing visual reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards using Power BI desktop.
- Connecting to data sources, importing data, and transforming data from various database - Oracle, SQL, etc for Business Intelligence.
- Implementing row level security and application security layer models in Power BI.
- Proficient in making Data Analytics Expressions (DAX) queries in Power BI desktop.
- Responsible for design methodology and project documentation.
- Developing tabular and multidimensional models that are compatible with warehouse standards.
- Developing, publishing and scheduling Power BI reports as per the business requirements.
- Integrating Power BI reports into other applications using embedded analytics like Power BI service (SaaS), or by API automation. Developing custom visuals for Power BI.
- Evaluating and drawing conclusions from data related to customer behavior
- Partnering with applications managers to ensure each project meets a specific need and resolves successfully
