Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities, include the following:

  • Experience designing precision mechanical systems, involving complex assemblies and tight tolerances.
  • Thermal & Vibration Management: Understanding of how to mitigate thermal drift and mechanical vibrations in sensitive instruments.
  • Integration with Electronics: Experience designing mechanical interfaces for PCBs, sensors, and wiring harnesses.
  • Advanced skills in 3D CAD modeling, assemblies, and technical drawings, ideally within SolidWorks
  • Strong grasp of GD&T, Tolerance Stack-up and ASME Y14.5 standards
  • Awareness of CAD File Management Techniques (Solidworks PDM/other PLM tools also acceptable)
  • Advanced skills in 3D CAD modeling, assemblies, and technical drawings, ideally within SolidWorks
  • Knowledge of CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, injection molding, and additive manufacturing, with proven DFM experience
  • Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and Thermal simulations within SolidWorks or other tools.
  • Knowledge and experience in relevant Industry standards
  • Knowledge of CAD and CFD (Flow / Thermal Simulation) simulation will be an added advantage.
  • Propose the development of innovative concepts and perform / review sizing calculations for electro-mechanical components.
  • Able to generate validation documentation to ensure compliance with engineering standards and product requirements

Experience, Education & Tool skills:

  • Graduate in Mechanical Engineering with 4 - 8 years of experience
  • Strong background in use of CAD Softwares (SOLIDWORKS) – Modelling and Drafting.
  • Knowledge of FEA and ANSYS/Solidworks Simulation
  • Prior work on analytical instruments, especially mass spectrometers, is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with designing components for vacuum environments (e.g., ion optics housings, vacuum chambers).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and work effectively with Global Team
