Level 4 Marketing Executive Apprenticeship Programme

Requirements:

Everyone in the team will be there to help you learn and grow throughout your time on the apprenticeship programme. To transform your tomorrow with WTW, you’ll need to be:

  • A-Level qualified, with at least three A’Levels or equivalent
  • Enthusiasm for marketing and a strong desire to learn and develop professionally.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and willingness to take initiative.
  • Collaborative mindset and comfort asking questions.
  • Creativity, curiosity and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to manage time effectively across multiple tasks.
  • A keen interest in new media and technologies.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Over the course of 16 months, alongside the responsibilities of your role, you will also complete a programme of study which will be a combination of assignments, coursework and exams. Whilst WTW and the selected government approved training provider, will equip you with all of the materials required, six hours per week to focus on your studies, and the support of a tutor, you will need to ensure that you are meeting all key milestones set out at the beginning of your apprenticeship and achieving the standards required, both academically and in your role. The Marketing Associate is an entry‑level marketing professional who supports the planning, execution and analysis of marketing activities across digital, content, events and campaigns. This role plays a key part in helping the marketing team achieve business objectives by conducting research, supporting campaign delivery, tracking performance and contributing to promotional initiatives. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail and a willingness to learn, with opportunities to build experience across multiple marketing disciplines within a professional services environment.

The Marketing apprentice provides administrative, coordination and operational support to the marketing team. The role focuses on scheduling, documentation, system updates, tracking activity and supporting day‑to‑day marketing operations, working under the direction of Marketing Managers or Directors.

This role does not lead marketing strategy or campaigns. Its primary purpose is to ensure marketing activity is well‑organised, accurately recorded and delivered efficiently. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Marketing Administration & Scheduling

  • Provide administrative support to the marketing team, including calendar management, meeting scheduling and coordination of deadlines.
  • Prepare agendas, take notes and track actions from marketing meetings as required.
  • Manage correspondence and routine enquiries related to marketing activity.
  • Maintain shared folders, templates and documentation to ensure information is organised and accessible.

Campaign & Activity Coordination

  • Support marketing campaigns by maintaining trackers, task lists, asset logs and timelines.
  • Coordinate the collection and routing of materials for review and approval.
  • Ensure campaign documentation and records are kept up to date.
  • Support follow‑up activities by tracking actions and confirming completion.

Content & Digital Administration

  • Upload and update approved content on websites and internal platforms.
  • Assist with formatting and preparing content (e.g. newsletters, presentations, basic web pages) for publication.
  • Schedule social media posts using approved copy and assets.
  • Maintain distribution lists and support basic email marketing administration (uploads, scheduling, tracking sends).

Events & Webinar Administration

  • Provide administrative support for events and webinars, including managing invitations, registrations and attendee lists.
  • Coordinate logistics such as calendars, meeting links, materials and reminders.
  • Support post‑event administration, including attendance tracking and follow‑up communications.

Systems & Data Maintenance

  • Maintain accurate records in CRM and marketing systems, including contact updates and activity logs.
  • Support data quality by checking records for completeness and accuracy.
  • Assist with pulling standard reports from marketing systems for internal use.
  • Follow established data governance, privacy and compliance procedures.

Team & Stakeholder Support

  • Act as a first point of contact for routine marketing administration queries.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external vendors to support scheduling and logistics.
  • Provide reliable, service‑oriented support to help the marketing team operate smoothly.
