DUTIES:
Negotiate direct insurance and facultative reinsurance placements with local and overseas (re)insurers, focusing on property and construction projects. Place both property and construction risks for a variety of Caribbean-based projects. Apply subject matter expertise in property and construction (re)insurance placements for Caribbean projects including Natural Catastrophe perils. Coordinate internal resources, such as analytics, contracts, broking support, and client services to provide solutions for our clients. Create presentations for our clients’ senior managers. Negotiation of best terms available from wider reinsurance carriers. In all broking activities, ensure that company, market, and client-related documentation is issued
(internally and externally) accurately and on time. Comply with external and internal regulatory and statutory policies, procedures, and regulations. Responsible for continual research on industry topics and the development of content to share with our clients and prospective clients. Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospects through research, initiation of contact, meetings, new business presentations, responding to RFPs, and accurately maintaining WTW’s CRM database. Actively identify opportunities to work with WTW colleagues across the business to create cross-selling opportunities and to maintain a detailed knowledge of the products and services offered across WTW’s global business. Responsible for regular business travel to generate new business and to liaise with our current and prospective clients in the United States and the Caribbean. Up to 25% of domestic and international travel required.

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in any field of study or foreign equivalent and 5 years of experience in the position offered or a related role. Requires 5 years of experience with all of the following: working in the insurance or reinsurance industry; broking, placing and underwriting international construction risks in the international reinsurance market, including the Lloyd’s of London market; developing and supporting business opportunities and portfolios of Construction All Risk projects; using Lloyd’s and London market operational practices and tools like PPL; and using Car underwriting tools – Swiss Re PUMA or industry equivalent. Requires 1 year of experience with all of the following: managing all aspects of insurance and reinsurance placements in the construction sector for domestic and international accounts; developing relationships with and working with lead construction reinsurance underwriters, including negotiating and placements; and developing and giving strategy presentations to clients, reinsurers, and internal groups.
