As a Relationship Manager Health & Benefits in Belgium, you will be responsible for managing your own broking portfolio, working with both local and international clients. You will advise clients on a broad range of complex projects related to the design, implementation, and management of comprehensive Health & Benefits programs; including medical, dental, life, disability, time-off, and flexible benefits. You will be part of the Belgian Health & Benefits team, contributing your expertise to deliver tailored solutions and exceptional client service.

The Role

As part of your responsibilities, you will:

  • Identify growth opportunities within the existing portfolio and actively prospect new Belgian clients;
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality client management and deliverables for your assigned accounts;
  • Lead placement and negotiation processes with vendors;
  • Build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with client contacts through clear communication and efficient project execution;
  • Contribute to initiatives within the Specialty area, including health management and wellness programs, disability and absence management, pharmacy and claims audits.

The requirements

  • Preferably a Bachelor's degree, along with a solid understanding of the Belgian insurance sector;
  • 2–3 years of experience in designing and managing health and disability plans, ideally gained in a consulting, brokerage, or insurance provider environment;
  • Proven ability to maintain and develop strong client relationships;
  • Experience in generating new business and contributing to business development initiatives is a strong advantage;
  • Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English; proficiency in French is a strong advantage;
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills, with the ability to work independently;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
