The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Trade Management Analyst to plan, coordinate, and execute asset transitions for UK defined benefit pension schemes.

You’ll be part of the EMEA Trade Management team—12 specialists who handle 2,100+ transactions a year, valued at more than £33bn. Each project involves multiple assets classes and requires flawless project management to ensure trades run smoothly, avoid unexpected costs, and meet strict deadlines.

You’ll work with a wide network—internal and external clients, custodians, investment managers, fund administrators, and lawyers—making your role pivotal in keeping projects on track and stakeholders aligned.

What You’ll Do

As a Trade Management Analyst, you’ll:

• Design and execute efficient trading plans that manage risk, control costs, and maintain market exposure.
• Gain exposure to multiple asset classes, from equities and fixed income to private markets.
• Consider broader factors like currency hedging and the use of transition managers.
• Think on your feet to solve problems and adapt to changing priorities.
• Work both independently and alongside consultants, depending on project size and complexity.
• Contribute to process improvements and uphold our high standards through our Professional Excellence framework.

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Detail-oriented and strong in project management.
• Confident and professional when liaising with clients and third parties.
• Organized with excellent time management skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ideally IMC qualified (or willing to work toward it with our support).

Backgrounds in investment management, custody, investment consulting, or similar fields are an advantage, but what matters most is being highly organized, eager to learn, and able to navigate complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
