Sr Tester

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated individual with a passion for testing and quality assurance:

1. Focus on requirements gathering, test planning, test execution, automated and manual testing and investigative analysis of defects to verify code changes during the development cycles
2. Identify gaps in test coverage and perform other testing as necessary including performance, security, accessibility, and user acceptance
3. Write clear, concise, descriptive bug reports and verify bug fixes
4. Work and communicate effectively in an agile team environment
5. Develop and maintain a suite of complex automated tests supporting code releases, migrating manual tests to automation where appropriate, and exploring other opportunities to increase automated testing.
6. Troubleshooting web applications – verifying reported live issues, identifying their underlying cause and seeing them through to resolution, liaising with development and product management teams where appropriate.
7. Championing testing, effective test automation and good testing practices.
8. Actively supporting agile development methods and best practices.
9. Supporting and actively work towards test-driven development.
10. Helping to improve processes and procedures.
11. Producing clear and concise test reports and release notes when needed.
12. Assisting with the setting up and configuration of test environments.

• BE, BTech or MCA with minimum 2-3 years of experience in development of an test automation.
• 7+ years of software quality engineering testing experience
• Experience with automated test scripting in any object-oriented programming language targeting web applications, microservices and mobile applications.
• Experienced with testing Mobile, Microservice, Database and Web Applications.
• Working experience with Source/Version control systems (e.g.: Git)
• Hands on experience preparing test environment, test data as per requirement.
• Experience in database, performance and security testing will be an added advantage.
• Experience in Agile development methodologies preferable.
• Experience in employee benefits, insurance, healthcare, or wealth management preferred.
• ISTQB certification preferred.
• Certifications or professional training in software engineering principles such as test automation and agile development methodologies desired.
