Your New Role…
As a Senior Accountant within the EMEA Direct‑to‑Consumer Controllership team, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and compliant expense accounting across multiple territories for Warner Bros. Discovery. You will oversee end‑to‑end accounting activities related to operational, marketing, personnel and technology expenses, supporting the month‑end close process and partnering closely with cross‑functional teams.

Your Role Accountabilities
Ensure accurate and compliant expense accounting in line with US GAAP, IFRS and company policies.
Manage month‑end close for expense‑related accounts, including accruals, prepaids and journal entries.
Prepare and review reconciliations for key expense accounts.
Collaborate with Procurement, FP&A and other business partners to ensure timely and accurate expense recognition.
Support SOX compliance and maintain strong internal controls.
Review and resolve intercompany discrepancies.
Provide guidance to junior team members and contribute to continuous process improvements.
Support statutory reporting processes, including preparation of audit support and documentation.
Participate in system and process integrations across the EMEA controllership area.
Qualifications & Experience
Proven experience in an accounting role with strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and SOX.
Degree in Accounting or Finance; Master’s degree a plus.
CPA or Chartered Accountant qualification strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of financial systems and ability to learn new tools.
Experience in automating manual processes and implementing best practices.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across functions.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Ability to embrace change and support process optimization.
Willingness to travel internationally occasionally.
Preferred: experience in multinational environments, SAP, operational accounting, filmed entertainment accounting.
