Your New Role
We are looking for a bright and enthusiastic PR Coordinator to join the CNN Communications APAC team. You'll have the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and be able to get a behind-the-scenes look into how the world's leading international news brand operates. It will be a great opportunity to strengthen your research and communication skills while contributing ideas to future publicity campaigns.
Your Role Accountabilities
Support external communication outreach
Draft and distribute press release to relevant APAC contacts
Assist in research when preparing briefing notes for anchors / correspondents / executives for media interviews and speaking engagements
Manage CNN media lists for distribution purposes, tracking tols like Cision, Telum
Understand the target audience of the press releases and pitch to relevant media
Media Relations
Actively develop journalist relationships and keep track of media movements and new publications.
Coverage reports
Monitor print and online media for CNN coverage while staying abreast of industry trends
Compile and distribute CNN coverage reports
Social Media
Draft and publish social media posts on social media platforms including Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn
Continually monitor social media activity
Other Responsibilities
Handle administrative tasks such as invoices, subscriptions, vendor contracts
Qualifications & Experience
University degree in Communications or Public Relations
Language: Excellent command of written and spoken English. Other Asian languages a plus.
Excellent communication skills and resourcefulness in a fast-paced environment.
Strong familiarity with key social media platforms
Organized, detail oriented and an independent team player who can prioritize tasks and deadlines
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
Prior agency experience advantageous
