Who We Are…

When we say, “the stuff dreams are made of,” we’re not just referring to the world of wizards, dragons and superheroes, or even to the wonders of Planet Earth. Behind WBD’s vast portfolio of iconic content and beloved brands, are the storytellers bringing our characters to life, the creators bringing them to your living rooms and the dreamers creating what’s next…

From brilliant creatives, to technology trailblazers, across the globe, WBD offers career defining opportunities, thoughtfully curated benefits, and the tools to explore and grow into your best selves. Here you are supported, here you are celebrated, here you can thrive.

About the Role
As a Production Manager, you will report to the Senior Director of Production Management Nordics and act as a production leader responsible for negotiations, oversight, and delivery of a significant portfolio of WBD commissions and co-productions, with a focus on WBD’s Unscripted Discovery networks and Discovery+.
This role safeguards WBD’s commercial interests across current and future platforms by ensuring all content is produced in line with editorial ambitions, brand standards, and contractual obligations—while being delivered on time, on budget, and through the most cost-effective and technically appropriate production models.
You will play a critical role in financial governance, supervising production cashflow, milestone payments, and participating in audits to ensure transparency and accountability. Additionally, you will maintain production risk and compliance standards, proactively managing safety and contractual obligations to minimize exposure.
A strategic mindset is essential—you’ll lead negotiations, optimize value within defined constraints, and advise on deal structures that balance creative ambition with commercial priorities. Working in close partnership with Nordic and international stakeholders, you’ll provide operational and financial frameworks that enable strong creative outcomes.
The position requires flexibility and strong stakeholder management skills in a dynamic, multi-cultural environment, including collaboration with external partners such as government entities and advertising clients.
Your Role Accountabilities
  • Participate in network kick-off/green light processes to align resources and editorial goals.
  • Review commissioning requirements, negotiate budgets, and ensure delivery within agreed timelines.
  • Manage multiple projects from development to delivery, overseeing budgets, schedules, and production plans.
  • Advise on deal structures, financial arrangements, and compliance with WBD policies to minimize risk.
  • Maintain clear communication with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely deliverables.
  • Supervise production cashflow, milestone payments, and monitor contract compliance.
  • Support PMD Senior Director with administrative and creative tasks, process improvements, and cost optimization.
  • Collaborate with EMEA Production Coordinator and other regional colleagues on systems and payment requirements.
We’re looking for a proactive, solution-oriented professional with a strong sense of ownership and business acumen. You thrive in a collaborative, structured environment and bring a service-minded approach to everything you do. Your ability to drive strategic initiatives, optimize costs, and streamline processes will help us deliver excellence across a global, complex organization.
You’re skilled at building and maintaining strong relationships with internal teams, leadership, and external partners. Through clear and consistent communication, you foster trust, collaboration, and a client-focused mindset in your daily work.
Skill and Experience
  • Solid experience as a Production Manager in TV, film, or video production.
  • Strong knowledge of production logistics, budgeting, and industry best practices.
  • Proven negotiation skills and commercial understanding of rights, costs, and contracts.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills in Norwegian and English.
  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong relationship-building skills.
