Your New Role:
The Sr. Director, Linear & Scheduling Systems Modernization reports to the VP Product and leads global teams responsible for re-architecting WBD’s scheduling and linear advertising infrastructure. This role owns the modernization roadmap, ensuring systems are cloud-native, cost-optimized, and future-proofed for an evolving industry.
By aligning technical execution with revenue, compliance, and operational goals, this leader ensures WBD’s linear and scheduling platforms remain reliable, scalable, and monetization-focused while unlocking next-generation converged advertising opportunities.
Your Role Accountabilities:
Modernization Leadership – Define and execute the multi-year roadmap for migrating legacy scheduling and linear advertising platforms into modular, cloud-native architectures with embedded automation and observability.
Scheduling & Ad Systems Transformation – Lead product management forscheduling, trafficking, and broadcast operations systems, ensuring 99.99% reliability and seamless integration with converged advertising and affiliate platforms.
Organizational Leadership – Build and manage a global engineering and product delivery team, embedding modern DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud best practices. Mentor senior leaders and create a high-performance modernization culture.
Cross-Platform Integration – Ensure interoperability across scheduling, linear, and converged ad systems, enabling unified workflows that support both linear ad monetization and digital convergence..
Stakeholder Partnership – Act as a trusted advisor to Sales, Operations, Affiliate Distribution, and Finance, ensuring modernization investments directly support multi-billion-dollar revenue streams and future convergence strategy
Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced technical certifications or MBA preferred.
Product Leadership Experience: 15+ years in enterprise technology leadership, with 7+ years overseeing mission-critical modernization programs.
Domain Expertise: Deep experience with linear advertising, scheduling, trafficking, and broadcast operations platforms, including modernization into API-driven, cloud-native solutions.
Modernization & Cloud: Proven success in migrating large-scale legacy systems into cloud and hybrid architectures (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Operational Excellence: Strong background in automating workflows, embedding observability, and ensuring compliance and resiliency.
Revenue & Business Alignment: Track record of aligning modernization initiatives with revenue growth, operational efficiency, and monetization outcomes.
Collaboration & Influence: Ability to influence C-level stakeholders and partner across Sales, Operations, Affiliate, and Technology.
Innovation & Ecosystem: Experience leading vendor evaluations, platform consolidation, and industry-standard adoption.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $177,170.00 - $329,030.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
