Your New Role...

A generalist role focused on OPEX and project management, fully localized for the Poland FP&A team, with direct exposure to business stakeholders, the local Management Board, and global finance structures within a matrix organization.

The Junior FP&A Manager plays a key role in ensuring the liquidity and efficiency of WBD Poland’s financial planning processes (short-, medium-, and long-term), budget control, and controlling activities.

The role also involves providing recommendations to the CFO and key stakeholders on process and cost efficiency within the area of responsibility, as well as delivering effective business support from the Finance function through strong business partnering and collaboration with operational teams.

Your Role Accountabilities…

  • Coordinate forecasting, budgeting, and business planning processes (including budgets, forecasts, latest estimates, long-term plans, and new projects) across operational revenue and cost areas for WBD Poland.

  • Manage the development of forecasts and budgets by preparing statistical or contractual proposals, reviewing and validating bottom-up inputs with operational teams, and providing assessments and recommendations of revenue and cost drivers to local management.

  • Supervise monitoring and analysis of budget execution and financial performance, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of management reporting (including accountability for data reported in the EPM system).

  • Provide financial and operational information support to the Polish Management Board, including ad hoc analyses and cyclical reports based on Financial Data Warehouses / BI tools.

  • Monitor the accuracy of financial planning models at both business-unit and consolidated levels for Polish operations.

  • Lead ad hoc analyses and business case development to enhance business performance understanding, identify risks and opportunities, and contribute to strategic decision-making.

  • Develop standard and tailored reports to assess business performance and highlight significant trends, events, or anomalies within the managed area.

  • Support the development and automation of reporting and analytical tools, perform controlling analyses, and prepare recommendations to improve process efficiency and business effectiveness.

  • Lead simplification and automation projects within the FP&A function (e.g., report automation, process standardization, and reduction of manual work).

  • Generate actionable insights and communicate findings effectively to business stakeholders.

  • Define FP&A system requirements for the managed area and collaborate with IT and global finance teams to implement required enhancements.

  • Collaborate across FP&A teams globally, sharing best practices and driving alignment with corporate standards.

  • Lead and coach analysts from the FP&A Capability Center to ensure consistent, high-quality analytical support for both local and corporate stakeholders.

  • Participate in special projects, including profitability assessments of new initiatives, implementation of new business solutions, and participation in external or internal audits.

Qualifications & Experience…

  • Higher education in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Finance, preferably in FP&A, audit, financial or business controlling.

  • Strong financial modeling skills and the ability to interpret and analyze large data sets.

  • Professional certification in finance or management (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, ACMA – CIMA) or certification in progress is preferred.

  • Knowledge of the media industry, including key metrics and KPIs impacting revenue and costs, is a strong asset.

  • Experience with EPM solutions such as SAP BPC, Hyperion, and familiarity with IT tools for data warehousing and large-scale data processing.

  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.

  • Strong analytical and numerical abilities with excellent attention to detail.

  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and perform under pressure in a dynamic environment.

  • Fluency in English (C1 – Advanced level), both written and spoken, is required for effective communication in an international setting.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, essential for operating effectively within a complex matrix structure

Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager.
