The Job

CNN is seeking a Conversion Analyst to join our Growth Analytics team. This role will focus on delivering actionable insights that drive user conversion across CNN’s core growth initiatives. They will partner closely with Product, Marketing and Strategy teams in support of their efforts to deepen users’ relationship with CNN’s direct-to-consumer digital products. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills with a strategic mindset, is strong at managing priorities, and thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

The Daily

The Analyst, Conversion will:

  • Support and conduct analyses of growth initiatives across CNN’s digital platforms to identify trends and opportunities for optimizing conversion.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and evaluate hypotheses, contributing to data-driven decision-making.

  • Build and maintain reports and dashboards that track key conversion metrics and key performance indicators.

  • Conduct exploratory analyses to uncover friction points in the user experience and support recommendations for improvement.

  • Present findings in clear, concise formats to stakeholders, with guidance from senior analysts and managers.

  • Collaborate with data engineering and platform teams to ensure data accuracy and scalability of analytics solutions.

The Essentials

  • 1+ years of experience in analytics, preferably in growth or digital media.

  • Working knowledge of SQL for querying and analyzing large datasets.

  • Experience with data visualization and dashboarding tools such as Tableau and Looker

  • Familiarity basic growth- and product-analytics concepts such as attribution, funnels, LTV, and cohort analysis.

  • Strong attention to detail, a proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for data quality.

  • Curiosity about digital product performance and user behavior, with a strong interest in understanding what drives direct-to-consumer growth and conversion.

  • Logical mindset capable of making appropriate trade-offs between speed and analytical depth without sacrificing quality

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.

  • Ability to deliver on multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

  • Comfortable communicating with diverse audiences and translating data into strategic recommendations.

  • A self-starter passionate about using data to drive decisions.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Exposure to digital subscription businesses or media industry.

  • Experience with statistical programming languages (Python, R).

  • Basic familiarity with A/B testing methodologies and experimental design.

  • Understanding of basic statistical concepts such as correlation, probability distributions, statistical significance, hypothesis testing

  • Degree in a quantitative field (Math, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, etc.).

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $66,560.00 - $123,611.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
