YOUR NEW ROLE

Managerial position responsible for providing support to Senior Director, Finance Planning and Analysis in reporting and financial analyses of the Streaming APAC P&L and any cross-divisional projects and initiatives. Role is vital in building a framework and best practices in APAC streaming forecasting and reporting which enables finance and budget holders to make critical and strategic decisions. Requires the ability to develop deep knowledge and competencies across the Streaming KPI’s across Marketing, Subscribers & Revenue and be a key point of contact for local & global teams for the APAC Streaming P&L.

Key responsibilities:

Providing core FP&A cycle activities local teams

  • Summarize key findings to support discussions and decision making with the business and finance leads

  • Monitor actuals utilization vs budget/forecast and determine best practices/ways of working to improve accuracy month to month

  • Design and maintain Marketing, Subscriber & Revenue KPIs and benchmarking analysis which can be reviewed on a regular basis, including the establishment of new processes in region

  • Implement and improve standard FP&A processes within APAC Streaming domain (across multiple markets) and ensure effectiveness and efficiency of these processes (month end close, forecast, budget, LRP)

Ad hoc Operational, Commercial Projects and Business Partnering

  • Drive simplification projects to improve efficiency in working within FP&A and summarize complex data succinctly in a manner useful to senior leadership

  • Provide high quality financial information and insights to business partners and finance leadership related to the Steaming P&L with a focus on Marketing, Subscribers and Revenue.

  • Establish helpful productive relationships with key contacts in the business and across the regions to encourage the flow of information and share knowledge

  • Collaborate across boundaries, share best practice working with different teams

  • Lead and participate in transition of activities from local finance into CoE FP&A structure for operational efficiencies

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in Finance function in FP&A department

  • Self Starter

  • Knowledge of media industry dynamics and key metrics impacting revenue & cost base would be an asset

  • Be able to meet stringent deadlines and work under pressure while showing excellent attention to detail

  • Strong analytical and numerical skills

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • Experience in using multiple Finance systems e.g. SAP, Smartview
