Your New Role…
This role will support Warner Bros. Discovery Global Franchises, Products, & Experiences with forecasting, budgeting, monthly and quarterly close, financial modeling, and preparation of executive presentations.
Your Role Accountabilities…
Collects, reviews, validates, and inputs key planning assumptions in various systems and models, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and reasonableness.
Supports monthly and quarterly close processes, gathering data necessary to formalize revenue and expense accruals and updating weekly pacing reports to senior management.
Prepares various schedules, reports, and visuals for executive presentations. Ensures accuracy of presented data as well as accompanying commentary.
Prepares cause of change analysis, researching and documenting variance explanations to support management reporting and corporate deliverables.
Supports managers and directors with ad hoc analysis, gathering and analyzing data necessary to provide business insights and drive decision-making.
Build relationships with other studio-wide finance teams and bring back insights and best practices to share with broader Global Franchises, Products, & Experiences finance team.
Participates in divisional and company-wide professional development efforts and supports development of more junior staff across the WBD organization.
Qualifications & Experience…
3-7 years in FP&A or other similar strategic finance functions
Previous experience with media, entertainment, retail, or consumer products industries preferred
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or similar field required
CIMA / ACCA/ CPA preferred
Attention to detail, with ability to review and validate complex data sets quickly and efficiently
Ability to consistently provide accurate, high-quality work product
Strong troubleshooting skills, able to resolve data and other issues on behalf of self and others
Superior communication and presentation skills; must be able to communicate effectively and tactfully with persons at all levels
Continuous improvement mindset – commitment to improving and streamlining processes
High level of intellectual curiosity that sparks communication, collaboration, and innovation; must have a willingness to look beyond surface requirements.
Ability to adapt and be agile amongst a changing environment
High degree of emotional intelligence and ability to flourish under pressure
Desire to learn, specifically regarding media & entertainment business models and growth drivers
Advanced Excel, Tableau, PowerPoint required
