Your New Role...

This role drives revenue growth by identifying and initiating new business opportunities in Accessories and Footwear categories for licensing in North America. In collaboration with counterparts in Franchise, Retail, and Product Development, the manager will research white space opportunities, identify top potential licensees in that space, estimate the size of the revenue potential, initiate conversations, and pitch new business opportunities. The manager will negotiate business terms, actively manage existing licensees for growth, and help bring new licensees on board. The manager supports business leaders by assisting in developing business plans, category strategies, and revenue goals.

Your Role Accountabilities...

  • Assists in developing and executing of long and medium term category strategies (1- 2 years out)
  • Owns annual Accessories and Footwear initiatives, revenue plan and execution
  • Plans and monitors quarterly forecast and annual budget
  • Directly manages licensees to establish product assortment and retail distribution plans
  • Partners with Franchise, Creative and Retail to drive Franchise initiatives
  • Identifies, evaluates and executes long-term new business initiatives
  • Interfaces frequently with senior management providing business updates, internal and external formal presentations and participate in strategy discussions
  • Identifies and applies competitive and industry key learnings and trends

Qualifications & Experience...

5 plus years of experience in Licensing industry with background in Fashion preferred

Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification

BA/BS degree in business or related field preferred

Knowledge/Skills

  • Strong licensing acumen and relationship skills
  • Proven ability to execute strategic and operational plan
  • Solid negotiating skills with ability to participate in complex retail and licensee agreements
  • Proven financial responsibility and accountability for category – revenue and expenses
  • Strong business development skills
  • Strong collaboration and partnership skills
  • Proven ability to communicate and collaborate effectively cross-functionally and with senior management
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational/leadership and planning skills required
  • Strong and varied computer software knowledge required (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to create and deliver pitch/presentations
  • Knowledge of retail landscape: key retailers, set dates, buying cycles, sell-in process, etc.

Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $72,240.00 - $134,160.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
