The Corporate Communications Manager, South Asia will lead Communications activity for WBD’s Global Centers of Excellence in Hyderabad and Bangalore and support additional Communications for the wider South Asia region.

WBD’s ambition is to build multi-function Centres of Excellence around the world, including for technology operations. This role is fundamental in supporting local and global awareness, education and engagement of the India Centres, both internally with employees and externally across key stakeholder groups. It will support key leadership across multiple functions and ensure communications are clear and aligned to strategic goals.

The role will support the Director, Communications, South Asia on a wide range of communications activities as needed, including executing Internal and External Communications tools and projects.

The role reports to the Director, Communications, South Asia, and will work closely with other local functions such as People & Culture, Technology, Operations, Ad Sales, and Commercial Strategy, as well as the APAC Communications team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute and execute communications plans for WBD’s Centres of Excellence in India including proactive and reactive media relations and profile strategy for General Manager and other key Executives as required.
  • Execute on change communications and planning, in collaboration with People & Culture, aligned to strategic growth plans.
  • Work closely with leadership and teams to ensure cohesive internal messages for key business and employee engagement initiatives, including ownership of internal tools [e.g. Workplace] and events [i.e. Town Halls].
  • Support the comms for the Networks and OTT business.
  • Develop clear KPI’s and measures of success for all communications initiatives.
  • Partner effectively with all internal functions, including technology, P&C, content, marketing and commercial teams locally and internationally when required.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years’ experience in corporate / internal communications, Tech experience highly regarded
  • Proficient in managing varied stakeholders.
  • Independent thinker with a strategic mindset who can execute projects to the highest standard.
  • Dynamic personality, adaptable with a high degree of professionalism.
  • Comfortable with a diverse workload and working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; a team player able to work with colleagues across multiple locations and time zones.
  • Ability to assess priorities and always maintain composure and diplomacy.
  • Excellent written and communication skills in English.
  • Flexible to travel.
