Nature of Work
The TA will assist in the delivery of CHM 2354 – Analytical Chemistry by leading DGD to support student learning.
Responsibilities include:
Preparing and facilitating DGD sessions (developing discussion outlines, examples, and exercises).
Demonstrating problem-solving methods and responding to student questions.
Reading and replying to student emails.
Marking midterm and final examinations and entering grades.
Assisting with midterm and final examination invigilation as assigned by the Faculty of Science.
Attending course team meetings and performing related clerical or administrative tasks (e.g., preparing materials, photocopying, organizing exams).
Minimum Qualifications
Completion of one full year of general chemistry and CHM 2354 Analytical Chemistry or an equivalent course.
Candidates who are not Chemistry graduate students will be required to complete a qualifying test (unless previously completed).
Successful completion of WHMIS and Occupational Health and Safety training prior to appointment.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of analytical chemistry concepts and quantitative problem-solving techniques.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in an academic setting.
