Ce cours explore les tendances et les pratiques contemporaines du spectacle vivant, en mettant l’accent sur la relation dynamique entre les interprètes, le public et les contextes culturels de production. Les étudiant.es s'engageront dans des lectures critiques tirées de discours théoriques de premier plan en sociologie, philosophie, études culturelles, études de la performance et autre discours critiques afin d’approfondir leur compréhension de la performance en tant que phénomène social, politique et esthétique complexe. À travers des études de cas, des discussions et la fréquentation de spectacles, le cours examine comment le théâtre reflète et façonne les courants sociaux, politiques et artistiques d’aujourd’hui.MODE D'ENSEIGNEMENT: En personne

Doctorat ou PhD ABD en études théâtrales, ou dans une discipline connexe avec thèse portant sur le théâtre.
Expertise théorique en analyse théâtrale et esthétique de la performance.
Expérience pédagogique au niveau universitaire.
Dossier de recherche sur l’histoire ou les approches critiques du théâtre.
Connaissance approfondie des tendances théâtrales contemporaines nationales et internationales.
