Examination of instructional and assessment strategies, models of inquiry and critical thinking, and approaches to curriculum integration relevant to the junior division (grade 4 to grade 6); special focus on Social Studies and Physical and Health Education Ontario Curriculum and other pedagogical resources.In Teacher Education, Hybrid means that all courses include ten in-person sessions offered on campus at the University of Ottawa (30 in-person instructional hours) and two online course modules, delivered through Brightspace, which provide the equivalent of 6 instructional hours.

Masters degree in education; Qualification in a field related to teaching in schools in Ontario; Recent experience in teaching in a school or working in administration of a school board at the Primary Junior level; Knowledge of the current Ontario Curriculum and of the Ethical Standards and Standards of Practice of the Ontario College of Teachers. The University may consider experience or qualifications equivalent to those set out above.

The course will be held in classroom from 11:30-12:50pm and in gymnasium from 1:00-2:20 pmAn acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
