The successful applicant will assist the professor in the preparation of a written research report based on the 2024 Symposium on the Future of Competition Law, held in June 2024. Tasks will include: legal research, summarizing notes, preparing first drafts, editing and layout of the final report. The student will also be expected to assist in the distribution of the final report to interested stakeholders, academics and government officials. This position requires a very high level of autonomy, the ability to plan one’s own work schedule and to deliver work product on time.
Required :
Completed LLL or JD degree
Perfect fluency in English and in French (written and oral)
Exceptional written expression
Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills
Excellent legal research skills
Strong ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Knowledge of the recent reform to Canada’s Competition Act (2022-2024)
Familiarity with Canva layout software
