Your tasks

Position Summary:

The function of an Auditor in the Amusement Rides, Water Parks and Ropeways Department for North America is to conduct audits, inspections and reviews.

An AR Division Auditor shall be responsible for the implementation of the Auditing Guidelines for the US/CAN AR Businesses and will hold relevant qualifications, national and international accreditation, technical and role-specific qualifications as required. They shall work under the guidance of the Lead Auditor, TÜV SÜD amusement ride department, to ensure the systems and processes to be used by our auditing teams are consistent and of the highest quality in the conduct of their work.

The AR Division Auditor shall use their expert knowledge, training and a keen understanding of the North American directives and regulations, to conduct the relevant audits of amusement and water Parks, Rides, or systems and ensure that TÜV SÜD is correctly represented as the most competent service provider in the industry.

Regular domestic and some international travel is required.

Responsibilities:

Perform audits and inspection according to national standards and internal directives.

Provide Project Management support, at time for multiple jobs.

Provide expert opinion as qualifications allow throughout the lifecycle of new projects (design reviews, manufacturing audits, field audits, testing and initial examination).

Be an internal and external advocate for the defined business segment(s) ensuring management and experts are aware of the specific needs and nuances of the industry.

Represent TÜV SÜD at relevant industry events.

The anticipated annual base pay range for this full-time position is $52,000-$70,000. Actual base pay will be determined based on various factors, including years of relevant experience, training, qualifications, and internal equity. The compensation package may also include an annual bonus target, subject to eligibility and other requirements. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package to employees, including a 401(k) plan with employer match, 12 weeks of paid parental leave, health plans (medical, dental, and vision), life insurance and disability, and generous paid time off.

Your qualifications

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in technical field (engineering, physics, computer, etc.)

Technical/Vocational school certificate(s) strongly considered

2-4 years of amusement ride or related experience - can include working on rides in a theme park, working for a ride manufacturing company or as part of a consulting company performing work in the amusement, water park and/or ropeways industry

Familiarity or experience working with technical standards and regulations

Desired but not required: ASQ or other relevant Certification (CQA, CQI, CQE, NAARSO, AIMS, Functional Safety, etc.) and/or willingness to achieve further certifications.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Computer Literate in Microsoft Outlook, MS Teams, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, etc.

Demonstrated ability in managing multiple tasks and priorities.

Ability to work independently.

Ability to multitask and handle deadlines.

Thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Customer service oriented

Self-starter with a positive and motivated attitude

Knowledge of Quality Management processes

Basic understanding or experience with Quality Auditing practices

Knowledge of Amusement Ride standards and practices (ASTM F24 committee standards, EN Standards, ISO Standards)
