Your tasks

TÜV SÜD is a global leader in testing, inspection and certification services. TÜV SÜD National Engineering Laboratory, based in East Kilbride, Scotland, is one of the lead organisations in the UK’s National Measurement System (NMS) and a world-renowned leader in flow measurement.

Face-to-face events is a significant marketing channel for the business, running a sizable bi-annual technical conference, with ambitions to develop internationally in the Middle East and Americas. We are looking for an experienced Events Coordinator to step into this new role and take charge of the planning and execution of the events programme. This is a hybrid role where you will be required to work one day per week in our office in East Kilbride, Scotland.

Key Responsibilities

Overseeing delivery of all TÜV SÜD National Engineering Laboratory events, from planning to post-show reporting.

Managing budgets, tracking performance and providing regular reports.

Liaising with colleagues involved in event delivery, assigning tasks and managing deadlines.

Managing supplier and venue relationships.

Owning the event communications and admin (delegate lists, badges, info packs, etc.).

Working with the marketing business partner to coordinate campaigns, content, and digital integration.

Ensuring health, safety and additional local regulations are followed.

Bringing fresh ideas and concepts to help increase delegate numbers and develop the international footprint of the event.

Your qualifications

Demonstratable experience in a similar role, especially with international events

Higher education qualification in Events, Marketing, Media, Communications

Proven experience in coordinating events from concept to delivery

Strong project management skills

Strong communicator. Proficient in speaking and written English is essential. Additional languages are advantageous

Numerical and analytical skills

Solutions-orientated

Organised and diligent with an eye for detail

Capable of multi-tasking and working at pace and under pressure

Good working knowledge of MS Office including Teams and Sharepoint

Able to work flexibly as working weekends, evenings, and bank holidays may be required for travel and delivery.

Able to travel internationally (~10% of the role)
