The President & CEO Americas will lead and drive the strategic and operational direction of TÜV SÜD Americas region.

Your qualifications

Responsibilities Include:

Set and communicate a compelling vision for the Americans region, ensuring alignment with TÜV SÜD’s global strategies, and driving the organization towards sustainable growth.

Lead the development and execution of regional business plans, policies, and strategies that deliver measurable success and ensure competitiveness in the marketplace.

Act as a role model for TÜV SÜD’s leadership principles, fostering trust, empowerment, and integrity at all organizational levels.

Serve as the primary interface between America and global headquarters, ensuring transparency, alignment, and strong communication across all levels of the organization.

Lead the financial planning, budgeting, and resource allocation process to maximize profitability, return on investment (ROI), and operational efficiency.

Oversee the development and execution of financial strategies and programs, ensuring funding for new and ongoing operations.

Ensure adherence to financial and regulatory compliance standards across all operations.

Monitor and evaluate regional performance against established objectives, implementing corrective actions as necessary to meet financial goals.

Drive operational and financial efficiencies while maintaining a customer-centric approach across all business functions.

Lead investigations, evaluations, and negotiations related to mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and the sale of major assets, with approval from the Board of Directors.

Identify and execute high-impact opportunities to strategically expand TÜV SÜD’s market presence and capabilities.

Identify growth opportunities through market expansion, strategic partnerships, acquisitions, and innovative solutions.

Champion a culture of safety, quality, and compliance across all operations, ensuring best-in-class processes and systems are implemented.

Monitor operating results, comparing them to established objectives, and take appropriate corrective actions where needed.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement by driving innovation, efficiency, and process excellence across all areas of the business.

Ensure adherence to global and regional standards while promoting the organization’s commitment to quality, safety, and sustainability.

Build, inspire, and retain a high-performing leadership team, placing a strong emphasis on diversity and inclusion.

Mentor and develop leaders at all levels of the organization, promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, and engagement.

Align talent development initiatives with TÜV SÜD’s strategic goals, ensuring the identification, growth, and promotion of future leaders.

Actively engage with the Board and Global Division Heads, providing insights on regional performance, challenges, and opportunities.

Represent TÜV SÜD as a trusted partner to customers, industry associations, regulators, and other key stakeholders, strengthening its market position and reputation.

Engage in industry forums and public platforms to enhance the organization’s profile, ensuring it remains at the forefront of market trends and innovations.

Serve as an ambassador for TÜV SÜD’s expertise in safety, quality, and sustainability, reinforcing its leadership in product safety, regulatory affairs, and certification.

Represent TÜV SÜD in industry forums and public platforms to strengthen its market position and reputation.

Minimum Requirements Include:

Approximately 90% domestic and international travel required

Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree strongly preferred

Minimum 10 years of experience in senior leadership roles, ideally in global, multi-regional organizations

Proven ability to lead complex businesses and deliver sustainable results in competitive markets.

Strong organizational skills along with excellent oral and written communications ability

Good speaking and writing ability

Ability to plan and organize, giving attention to detail

Strategic thinker with the ability to inspire and empower teams.

Strong business acumen, including expertise in financial planning and operational management.

Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.

Resilient and adaptable, with a focus on navigating and driving change.
