Position Summary:

The Senior Director of Market Influence & Authority is responsible for establishing TrendAI as the most trusted and visible authority in AI cybersecurity.

This leader defines how the company earns credibility, shapes industry perception, and amplifies it's voice across analysts, media, customers, and the broader cybersecurity community.

Working closely with Product and Vertical Marketing, Threat Research, and Regional Marketing, this role translates TrendAI’s strategy and story into coordinated market influence - ensuring the company’s expertise is consistently seen, trusted, and recognized worldwide. This role leads the global programs and teams responsible for analyst relations, industry influence, executive visibility, media relations, social strategy, customer advocacy, and flagship industry experiences.

Responsibilities:

Define the Market Authority Strategy

Develop and lead the global strategy for how TrendAI builds influence, credibility, and trust in the market.

This includes defining:

  • How TrendAI earns recognition as the leading authority in AI security

  • Where and how the company shows up in the cybersecurity conversation

  • The role of analysts, industry influencers, research, customers, and executives in shaping perception

  • The platforms and experiences that reinforce the company’s leadership

The strategy should ensure that TrendAI’s voice is consistent, credible, and impossible to ignore in the AI security category.

Orchestrate Global Market Influence & Organizational Scope

Partner closely with Product Marketing, Brand, and Web teams to ensure TrendAI’s thought leadership, research, and market insights are consistently translated into authoritative content and narratives that reinforce the company’s leadership.

Lead and align the teams and programs responsible for market presence and external influence. This

includes functions such as:

  • Analyst relations

  • Influencer and practitioner communities

  • Global events and executive experiences

  • Executive communications and speaking strategy

  • Public relations and media engagement

  • Social strategy and real-time narrative participation

  • Evangelism and thought leadership programs

  • Customer advocacy and reference programs

  • Executive Briefing Center experiences

The focus is ensuring these programs operate as a coordinated influence system, reinforcing TrendAI’s authority rather than functioning as disconnected marketing activities.

Measure, Learn, and Adapt Market Influence

Establish clear frameworks for measuring market authority and influence.

This leader will define and leverage analytics and AI-driven insights to monitor market sentiment, identify emerging conversations, and continuously optimize TrendAI’s influence strategy, covering:

  • Share of voice in cybersecurity and AI security discussions

  • Analyst positioning and recognition

  • Media and industry perception

  • Executive visibility and credibility

  • Engagement with TrendAI’s research and insights

  • Customer advocacy participation and influence

Using these insights, the leader will refine strategy and investments to ensure TrendAI’s influence continues to grow and adapt as the market evolves.

They understand how influence and credibility are built in technology markets and can orchestrate multiple programs and voices into a cohesive market presence.

  • 10+ years in strategic B2B marketing leadership (cybersecurity or enterprise SaaS preferred)

Trend Micro, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role is USD $240,000.00 – $350,000.00 . A candidate’s final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors to include, but not limited to relevant work experience, skills, and certifications.
