Position Overview:
Trend Micro is searching for a Regional Technical Director to grow with our regional team. The role will align with the Regional Sales VP, Product Management, as well as supporting roles in Channel, Marketing, and Customer Success. The Engineering team will work with the Sales organization to define solutions for Enterprise Customers and Prospects while aligning with Partners to accelerate revenue and strategic growth initiatives. The position requires a seasoned Sales Engineer with a proven track record of revenue growth and team collaboration.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, mentor, and develop the South Region Solutions Engineering team.

  • Refine and scale the core sales engineering processes such as discovery, technical qualification, and proof-of-concept.

  • Work with the Regional Technical Director and our Enterprise Customer’s to design, create and present business solutions to increase client revenue growth.

  • Develop healthy and trusted relationships with strategic Partners.

  • Respond and support requests for proposals (RFPs).

  • Represent Trend Micro through business solutions and Thought Leadership at events, panels, and webinars.

  • Collaborate with a variety of internal functional areas to ensure solutions are implemented and supported in-line with client expectations.

  • Provide input on product development or enhancements to existing products to product management function.

  • Willing to travel within the US for customers facing activities, as well as marketing, channel, and key partner initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS degree or combination of education and pre-sales experience in Security and Cloud, Network Systems.

  • At least five (5) years of experience working within a Sales Engineering role.

  • At least three (3) years of experience managing a remote team.

  • Demonstrated success working with technical decision makers and Executives.

  • Knowledge of emerging cyber technologies as well as Public Cloud provider solutions and services. (AWS, Azure, GCP).

  • Broad technology experience including risk visibility and prioritization, cloud architecture, networking, security, and IT transformation.

  • Experience architecting/designing solutions built on-prem and cloud.

  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.

Trend Micro, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The OTE (On Target Earnings) for this role is USD $300,000.00. A candidate’s final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors to include, but not limited to relevant work experience, skills, and certifications.
