The Opportunity:

We are seeking a motivated and talented Sales Development Representative to join our UK&I team. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your career within cybersecurity, offering an educated route into various potential career paths.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Working within the Marketing function, you will have the opportunity to work in close partnership with the Trend UK&I sales team to help drive new logo opportunities for Trend Micro UK&I

  • You will work closely with the Sales & Demand Generation teams to qualify leads, profile prospective customers and book meetings to open up new business opportunities for yourself and the Sales team

  • You will be expected to:

    • Research relevant markets (vertical segments, etc) and gather key prospect information using a variety of pro-active research methods.

    • Understand the prospect’s business, mapping out key decision makers and gathering key sales and market information to help Trend align with their security requirements.

    • Carry out outbound campaigns via email, phone, LinkedIn and other prospecting tools with a goal to book meetings and identify new business opportunities and leads.

    • Pass well qualified leads to the Seller, confident that the lead/s have been well nurtured, with the prospect firmly engaged and well placed to purchase Trend products and become their preferred cybersecurity vendor.

    • Ensure disciplined use of Trend Micro sales tools to facilitate opportunity management, accurate forecasting, account planning and ensure account information remains up to date.

    • Align with the Partner/Channel teams to participate in strategic account planning and prospecting activities within the partner and alliance community to deliver mutual benefit.

    • Attend industry events and participate in new business planning meetings.

Experience & Skills:

  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in an SDR / Lead Generation role – ideally within B2B Technology

  • Experience using CRM and outreach tools such as Microsoft Dynamics, LinkedIn Sales Navigator & OutReach

  • Experience working in a targeted sales environment with the ability to manage own time effectively

  • Strong organisation and time management skills

  • Detail and data oriented – can analyse success and failure, striving to improve your KPIs and success

  • Quick learner with desire to learn new tools and techniques

  • Experience using SPIN selling and BANT qualification methodologies an advantage

  • Just as important to Trend is a team-focused candidate with drive, enthusiasm, a strong work ethic and a desire to learn and develop their career within cybersecurity
