Position Summary
The Channel Sales, Sr. Account Manager will ensure that Transcat Rentals' clients are successful in performing their required tests. They will also be responsible for helping to continue growth of Transcat's Distribution, Used, and Rental businesses through quoting, order placement, customer service and sales support.
Responsibilities
- Primarily focused on supporting our network of Manufacturer Rep firms while also driving additional revenue outside of the Rep firms for our Distribution, Used, and Rental business
- Receive quote requests via email, case queue and phone, issue quotes via our quoting system
- Process POs, including ensuring unit availability, place orders
- Managing and working with our network of Manufacturer Reps and provide them with technical support while responding to RFQ’s. Attend customer facing events with Rep firms to promote Transcat brand.
- Work with our Purchasing and Vendor Management teams to ensure they are updated on product offerings and promotions
- Work with Vendor support staff to determine ideal solutions to offer to customers based on their requirements
- Work with the customer to understand requirements and find alternative solutions
- Work with other team members and brand representatives to solve technical issues arising during rentals
- May be assigned specific key accounts to develop new revenue opportunities
- Attend and complete training sessions on brands and product categories
- Occasional travel may be required, estimated to be less than 10% of the time
- Model the Company’s values to influence others to perform in an aligned manner.

Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to successfully change tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Communicate in a clear, professional and concise matter with internal and external customers
- Ability to work independently as well as show initiative
- Attention to detail and focus are critical for this role.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university, and 10+ years of sales / customer service experience.
