We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accuracy in invoicing, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and internal departments. This role plays a critical part in the company’s revenue cycle and financial health.

Responsibilities

Primary Objectives:

  • Prepare and issue accurate invoices to clients based on contracts, services rendered, or product deliveries.
  • Reconcile billing discrepancies and resolve client inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with sales, customer service, and labs to ensure billing accuracy.
  • Enter invoices into customer invoicing portals.
  • Manage Purchase Order needs and adjustment reports.
  • Provide updated customer information to appropriate department to update customer records.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
  • Assist with gathering documentation for corporate audit requests.
  • Ensure filing of accounting documents is completed in a timely manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Must be able to work with others
  • Must be able to multitask

Education and/or Experience

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of billing, accounts receivable, or general accounting experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) is a plus.
