The Sr Manager, Individual Insurance Product Marketing & Insights will lead a small team responsible for proactively monitoring the individual insurance product lines to ensure they remain competitive in the marketplace. They will provide updates, education and product support to distribution partners with the goal of improving sales and brand recognition. This role will work closely with the Marketing team to develop point of sale materials and sales concepts to effectively position our products and further support our distribution partners.
How you will create impact:
- Work with distribution to partners to understand marketing needs and other competitor materials and collaborate with Marketing to develop new materials and update existing pieces when necessary
- Develop specialized sales concepts working with the Actuarial team on mathematical components when necessary
- Conduct competitive analysis of Individual Insurance product features, business rules and compensation
- Understand and monitor regulatory changes to identify potential product changes necessary
- Support the Permanent and Term Pricing teams with analysis of competitive positioning and provide recommendations of changes based on market research and in-depth conversations with distribution
- Develop and manage a roadmap for product changes considering the needs of clients and requests from distribution
- Support distribution partners with the development and delivery of product presentations and sales tools for key target audiences
- Subject Matter Expert for Financial Planning Tax strategies
To join our team:
- You have 6-9 years of experience in individual Insurance
- You have a strong aptitude for analysis, research, strategy and creative marketing knowledge
- you have in depth understanding of individual insurance and how to position products to reach target markets and needs
- You have a strong ability to conduct research and analyze the data to make recommendations.
- A designation in Chartered Life Underwriter(CLU), Certified Financial Planner (CFP)/Qualified Associate Financial Planner (QAFP)/Personal Financial Planner (PFP) would be considered an asset.
- You have a good understanding of the regulatory framework and taxation of life insurance product
- You have a strong sales mindset/experience
- A good knowledge of tax planning background in life insurance would be considered an asset.
- Bilingual in English and French would be an asset.
- You have a deep knowledge of individual insurance products, industry knowledge, distribution models and sales strategies.

Expected salary range $114,021 - $164,021+
The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.
Employees may also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn additional compensation tied to individual and/or business performance, or other business metrics.
