The Wealth Management Product Specialist Product Specialist supports in the development and application of knowledge of wealth management products and processes, with a particular focus on group annuities. This role is responsible for driving the implementation process for group annuities, while maintaining strong relationships with consultants and other business partners. This individual will work closely with their team to coordinate and complete implementation work. The Product Specialist will have a strong working knowledge of wealth management products and will be able to advise the team regarding product-specific knowledge and help develop the product knowledge of actuarial students on the team as they rotate in.
How you will create impact:
- Driving implementation work with consultants and internal teams
- Contract drafting and negotiations which involve working with consultants and our legal team to create custom contracts that capture specific plan provisions as well as negotiating wording of various technical and regulatory elements within contracts
- Welcome letter drafting, discussions, and coordination including partnering with consultants to develop custom welcome letters that accurately capture complex plan provisions
- Leverage technical knowledge and technical writing skills to create, maintain, and update documentation for deferred annuities, indexation, and buy-in tracking
- Completing consultant questionnaires by leveraging product and process expertise to provide in-depth and accurate responses
- Responding to requests for information from consultants which often require an in-depth understanding of our group annuity quoting and implementation processes
- Independently complete market research into wealth management product features and develop/create summaries

To join our team:
- You have 2-4 years of experience in the wealth management industry.
- You have a professional designation in life or wealth would be considered an asset.
- You have developing knowledge of wealth management products such as: group annuities, group retirement, individual annuities and segregated funds, with the ability to apply this knowledge to support day-to-day work.
- You are self-motivated and able to hold oneself accountable for completing work.
- You have the ability to draft and update client-facing documents (e.g Contracts, welcome letters, annuity certificates) using strong technical writing skills.
- You have the proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to create, maintain and update required documents and reference materials.
- You have strong organizational skills to support coordinating multiple tasks, timelines, and parties involved in group annuity processes.
- You have developing knowledge of quoting, onboarding and contract- finalization processes for group annuities.

Expected salary/hourly range $60,574 - $100,956
The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.
Employees may also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn additional compensation tied to individual and/or business performance, or other business metrics.
