As a Senior Data Analyst in the Claims Data and Analytics Solutions Team, you will contribute by working on complex data analysis projects while also supporting your team through coaching on the use of data analytics. You will demonstrate critical judgment in determining how a business objective can be addressed and decompose complex problems or high-level business objectives into smaller problems that can be solved using data analysis.
How you will create impact:
- Conduct data analysis and demonstrate a proven track record in using various methods and achieve the expected outcome.
- Autonomously participate in the end-to-end production implementation process for analytical solutions.
- Understand your business partners, their expectations, objectives, and pain points and clearly communicate with the rest of the team.
- Conduct business data modeling and define and design logical data models.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of insurance business domain.
- Autonomously demonstrate critical judgment in determining how a business objective can be addressed and solved with data analysis
- Autonomously and efficiently communicate findings to a business audience.
To join our team:
- You have 6-9 years of relevant experience in Business Intelligence or other relevant domain.
- You have a University Degree in Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent technical experience.
- ACAS or FCAS designations are considered an asset.
- You have strong knowledge and understanding of: Data analysis, Programing/tools, Modelling techniques, Data warehouse/data management, Research, Architecture/design.
- You have experience solving complex problems by taking a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information and can provide clear recommendations for improvement.
- You have deep Claims Process Knowledge with an expert understanding of the end-to-end claims lifecycle.
- Experience with the following technologies is required: SQL and Azure Synapse
- Experience with the following technologies is an asset: MicroStrategy, PowerBI
- This position primarily works with majority non-francophone groups, and teams located outside of Québec, and requires proficiency in English. The essential non-French duties are not assignable to adjacent or other team members.

Expected salary range $72,847 - $121,411.
The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.”
