Texas Instruments (TI) Radar Software Team is looking for an experienced Lead Software Engineer - Radar Signal Processing Lead to join our team.
At TI Radar Software Team, our Software Developers architect, design, develop, modify, debug and evaluate embedded programs for variety of Radar SOC devices. You will lead and mentor a dynamic engineering team, architect, design, and analyze existing solutions while developing innovative algorithms for new generation SOC devices; coding and testing/debugging programs. You will develop conversion and system implementation plans, prepare system and programming documentation as per software development process. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of TI's Radar technology portfolio while leading breakthrough innovations in autonomous systems and industrial sensing applications.
This role will integrate requirements from multiple business applications into the software SDK and Security architecture, delivering accurate, scalable, user-friendly SW solutions. Role also provides opportunities to gain high visibility into all layers of the radar organization, including Business managers, Application team, Systems architecture, SOC design team and ROM Firmware development teams. As a Lead Software Engineer, you will directly impact millions of vehicles and industrial systems worldwide, contributing to safer autonomous driving and smarter industrial automation.
In this role you will:
- Lead and mentor team of 2-3 engineers in the SDK team in developing peripheral drivers, SBL, security drivers and radar signal processing algorithms for multiple Radar Devices like 3rd and 2nd gen device families.
- Lead Radar SDK development starting from pre-silicon execution till RTM.
- Drive the planning, architecture, design, development, and testing of complex drivers and Radar algorithms associated with Radar SW SDK
- Lead and drive HSM runtime security software requirements gathering, design, architecture and development.
- Debug and enhance existing software solutions
- Apply deep expertise in embedded systems, coding and application use cases
- Collaborate with business to develop requirements and create level of effort estimates
- Develop solutions following software development process and best practice methodologies
- Mentor junior team members and lead/drive assigned projects with higher responsibilities.
- Develop automations and use AI/ML tools to enhance the execution efficiency
- Partner with businesses, R&D and program management to develop entitlement around solutions (training, work sessions, Planning)
- Analyze and resolve customer and internal issues being encountered by the team and global end user community.

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in an Information Technology related field
- 4-5 years of embedded software development experience in Embedded SW, Signal processing domains
Preferred Qualifications:
- Expert proficiency in C/C++, assembly language, and Python
- Deep expertise in Security algorithms and Boot ROM architectures
- Deep understanding of embedded real time systems software/firmware programming, ARM cores, DSP cores, Hardware accelerators and engineering principles
- Proficiency in debugging critical embedded software systems issues with JTAG, trace and logic analyzer tools
- Experience in SDK/Application drivers, peripherals, algorithms development for popular SOCs / embedded systems
- Proficiency in SW development life cycles, unit, integration and qualification of the SW.
- Proficiency in AI/ML and associated tools
- Ability to take the initiative and drive results
- Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
- Ability to work effectively in an interrupt-driven, fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
- Demonstrated strong customer service orientation and ability to take ownership for issue resolution
