Product Test Engineer | Radar
Texas Instruments
Texas Instruments is seeking a Product Test Engineer for our team. This position offers a great opportunity to work on industry leading Radar mmWave sensor devices, targeted for broad applications in the automotive and industrial markets. In this role, you will be a contributing member of a cross functional team working on new and innovative DFT (Design-for-Test) techniques to drive low cost test solutions for Complex / Analog IPs for high volume production testing on roadmap ATE test platforms (Advantest, Teradyne). You will work on cutting edge CMOS process technology nodes, operating at mmWave frequencies (60GHz, 81GHz), targeting a wide breadth of product offerings from high performance and high cost to low power and low cost.
Responsibilities may include:
New product development contributor to new roadmap projects within the RADAR BU product line
Collaborate and work in a team environment with Design, Applications, Systems, Program Management, Quality, Planning, Business, and Marketing in all aspects of cost entitlement in order to achieve production release (RTM) on time and at entitlement goals
Compliance to Galileo phases required for project execution (Assess, Plan, Create, Verify, & Ramp)
Work closely with the Analog Design, Firmware, and Systems teams to integrate digital/analog test measurements on Automated Test Equipment
Extensive knowledge of statistics and tools to analyze large amounts of characterization data and determine and set production test limits and predict yield data (e.g. Spotfire, Mbayse, etc.)
Perform evaluation, debug, characterization, and qualification of new roadmap products to ensure they meet the requirement specifications and manufacturing requirements for entitlement RTM
Work with failure analysis (FA) to determine root cause of any reliability and qualification failures
Driving and participating in DFT reviews at various design phases, defining requirements for test to enable DFTs for max testability at entitlement test cost
Actively represent the PE team in all cross functional reviews with Design, DFT, Systems, PM project weekly reviews, and PLM status updates on roadmap discussions and product planning
In addition, PEs may be responsible for 'sustaining support,' meaning they work with design, ATD (process technology), manufacturing, test, quality, reliability, and marketing teams to further optimize the manufacturing flow of a given device, targeting to reduce cost or otherwise improve the overall long-term development and profit profile of the device post-release.
