Texas Instruments is seeking an experienced cost accountant to join our team in Lehi, Utah. The TI Accounting department provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience in and exposure to complex accounting issues and related responsibilities in a fortune 500 company. Together, our accountants work diligently to drive best in class financial results. This role specifically offers the unique opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of TI’s manufacturing while also offering exposure into inventory, R&D, costing, audit, capital, and monthly close practices. Individuals in this role will also have the opportunity to interface with other key stakeholders such as: finance, operations, engineering, and site/company leadership.
Business Summary:
This role will directly support TI’s 300mm wafer FABS in Lehi, UT. Acquired in 2021, LFAB is an important pillar in Texas Instruments goal to expand capacity. This goal has been furthered by TI’s investment into building LFAB2, the largest economic investment in Utah state history. At full production, these two wafer fabs will manufacture tens of millions of analog and embedded processing chips each day. Together both FABS represent TI’s aspirations to build the next era of semiconductor manufacturing.
Responsibilities Include:
- Timely and accurate execution of accounting responsibilities including monthly and quarterly close, P&L and balance sheet actuals, inventory valuation and controls, costing, R&D, and full compliance with Internal Control Checklist (ICC), TI Policies & Procedures, and US GAAP
- Partner with LFAB finance and operations teams on driving compliance across the site, operational performance reviews, finance actuals reviews, cost reduction activities, and ad hoc analysis
- Assist in non-ramp capital accounting activities for the site including facilitating review and submission of new projects, monitor open capital projects for compliance, prepare and submit capitalization requests.
- Partner with logistics and procurement teams to ensure inventory accuracy, purchase order compliance, and stockroom accuracy.
- Partner with Tax, Procurement, and Logistics teams to ensure compliance as well as problem solving
- Continuously seek process improvements, including but not limited to automation, efficiency and accuracy
- Drive compliance and accounting excellence for LFAB team, while providing management with insights for improved processes and decision-making

Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of two years accounting experience
Preferred qualifications:
- Corporate accounting preferred but not required
- Strong organizational, strategic and critical thinking skills.
- Advanced time management and prioritization abilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, including GAAP and managerial cost accounting.
- Strong understanding of internal control principles and accounting policies and procedures.
- Effective communication and team work skills.
- Ability to influence and collaborate across broad levels of management and functions.
- Proficiency in SAP, Excel, BPC, Wdesk, and Business Objects.
- Fundamental understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes.
Minimum requirements

- 1+ years of relevant experience
