Software Engineering Intern - Infrastructure and Test

As a Software Engineering Intern, you’ll become a key contributor where your skills and input make a big difference. In this role, you’ll design embedded software and development tools that will be used to test products. You’ll write code that tells chips how to operate in revolutionary new ways. Additionally, you’ll work closely with business partners and customers, as well as TI’s marketing, systems and applications engineering teams, to collaborate and solve business problems.
The Infrastructure and Test team is responsible for the environment/framework around delivering high quality embedded SW products. This includes build pipelines (CI/CD), infrastructure as code (IaC), hardware in-the-loop (HIL) and system level integration testing.

- Currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master degree in a field related to Electronics Engineering or Programming
- Experience with C programming
- Experience with scripting languages, such as Python / JavaScript / Groovy
- Familiarity with continuous integration/deployment systems, such as Jenkins
These are nice to have, don’t worry if you don’t have all these skills fully developed yet, you will learn in your assignment with us.
Technical:
- Experience with a structured approach to software development
- Experience with ARM Cortex M series microcontrollers
- Knowledge of build systems such as CMake or Make
- Familiarity with a version control system, such as Git
- Familiarity with assembly language programming

- Transparency about your knowledge and skills – hand in hand with not being afraid to say “I don’t know this (yet)”
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills

- Currently pursuing a undergraduate or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field
- Cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA or higher
- C programming skills
- Familiarity with assembly language programming
- Knowledge of software engineering processes and the full software development lifecycle
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
- Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
