TI’s Law Department is seeking a highly motivated attorney experienced in regulatory matters to join our legal team. This role will place you in a dynamic environment supporting a global semiconductor business where you will serve as a trusted advisor, helping TI leaders navigate a rapidly evolving legal and regulatory landscape.
In this role, you will be an individual contributor while being a part of a broader team tracking and providing legal analysis of new laws and regulations, advising on business impact, and providing practical and actionable recommendations. The position is based in TI’s D.C. office, reporting to a Dallas-based Assistant General Counsel, and involves close collaboration with our Public Policy Counsel. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of regulatory issues, excellent communication skills, and the ability to effectively work with subject matter experts to assess laws and regulations. The position requires travel globally and to TI’s Dallas headquarters. Candidates must have a law degree and be admitted to practice law, preferably in Washington, D.C.
Roles and responsibilities
- Track, analyze, and proactively communicate new laws and regulations impacting the semiconductor industry.
- Provide legal advice on legal and regulatory changes, including coordinating with stakeholders to assess impact to TI.
- Advise subject matter experts on compliance actions associated with legal and regulatory changes, including policies, processes and training.
- Prepare a variety of written communications such as legal updates.
- Maintain strong communications channels between relevant internal teams.
- Some domestic and occasional international travel required.
Qualifications
Minimum requirements:
- Law degree from an accredited law school (JD or LLM)
- Licensed to practice law
- At least 5 years practicing law, with at least 3 years of experience in government matters and regulatory law
Preferred qualifications:
- Strong understanding of regulatory matters, particularly product regulations
- Ability to give practical, strategic, business-oriented advice and recommendations
- Ability to establish strong relationships and to collaborate effectively with key stakeholders
- Strong time management skills that enable executing with urgency on critical projects
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive for results

Your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. The base pay range for this role is shown below.
