At TI, Systems Marketing Engineering Interns within the Aerospace and Defense (A&D) team push technological boundaries through system innovations in the demanding A&D industry. Through direct interaction with A&D customers, product development teams, and sales, you will enable current and future system advancements in end equipments like space, radar, and communications.
In this system marketing engineering internship, you’ll have the chance to work on projects that involve:
- Work with leading A&D customers to provide innovative, high performance solutions to their most challenging problems
- Utilize TI’s broad portfolio of commercial, automotive and high reliability devices to create whole system level solutions to accelerate our customers’ product life cycle
- Combine hardware and software capabilities to further integrate complete TI solutions
- Develop system level reference designs including: block diagram, schematic capture, PCB layout, fabrication, assembly and lab testing.
- Interface directly with TI business units and customers to influence product roadmaps
- Gather user requirements, translate them to functional specifications, and implement solutions and enhancements to broader end equipments.
- Provide complete documentation for system level solution
- Perform troubleshooting and debugging on issues related to the system working directly with customers

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering or related field
- Cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA or higher
ITAR Restriction: All candidates for this ITAR restricted position must be one of the following: US Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident, Asylee, Refugee or otherwise lawfully admitted under an amnesty program.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of and experience with system design, including writing IC design specifications, developing algorithms and creating system reference models
- Knowledge in structured and/or object-oriented programming (C, C++) and signal processing tools (Matlab)
- Analysis of common electrical circuits
- Ability to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders critical to success, both internally and externally
- Strong verbal and written communication skills including ability to present solutions to key stakeholders and customers.
- Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
- Ability to quickly ramp on new systems and processes
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
- Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
- Ability to piece together/analyze data from multiple sources to aid in decision making process
- Familiar with schematic capture simulation tools
- Ability to use data and calculations to select best fitting parts
- Ability to break down and analyze complex systems
