As an experienced Analog designer, you will be part of a team with a charter to develop TI's next generation portfolio of Low Voltage (<12V) precision and general purpose amplifiers and comparators. You will be a core member in a design team driving flawless execution, while finding innovative circuit solutions to customers’ problems through “out of the box thinking” to deliver highly differentiated products.
The role will provide you exposure to semiconductor process technology development as well as various engineering teams within the product line including verification, layout, validation, test, systems, applications and marketing to successfully execute new products from concept to volume production and subsequent support.
You will be a core member in a design team driving flawless execution, while finding innovative solutions to customers’ problems through “out of the box thinking” to deliver highly differentiated products.
In this role, responsibilities may include:
- Design and verification of bias block, band gap, sub regulators, protection circuits supporting industry's leading amplifier products
- Design and develop high speed (<50MHz), micro power, nano power cost efficient precision amplifiers
- Develop innovative circuit architectures to meet best in class Figure of Merit precision and general purpose amplifiers.
- Develop chip schematics and engage in design and verification.
- Ownership of full chip design & layout activities including technical ownership as well as schedule planning and tracking.
- Develop chip schematics and engage in design and verification.
- Support the bench and ATE test with test plan, schematic and layout verification.
- Participate hands-on in Silicon Debug, assisting in characterization and qual support.
- Work closely with Digital, DV and systems teams to review / close spec gaps and design bugs, as they arise during the pre-PG phase of a project to ensure completion of all technical tasks before PG
- Drive new and improved methodologies where needed, work with the EDA team to upgrade tools and flows
- Own design reviews and create necessary design, verification and product documentation
- Work with test / DV engineers to come up with optimized DFT techniques and implement DFT hooks for products
- Work with and provide guidance to layout designers to esure quality of IC layout
- Work with systems engineers, application engineers and marketing to prepare product briefs, datasheets, application notes
- Collaborate with validation, product engineering and test engineering teams to enable successful transfer to production
- Opportunity to grow into a product portfolio lead and influence several amplifier developments.
Qualifications
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3 years of hands on design experience in analog building blocks like amplifiers, LDO's involving feedback and frequency compensation
Preferred qualifications:
- Strong Electrical engineering fundamentals & knowledge of basic analog building blocks with exposure to precision amplifier, low-power and low-noise techniques.
- Solid understanding and experience of designing analog mixed signal circuit blocks including Bandgap, biasing circuits, LDO regulators, amplifiers, comparators, switched-cap circuits.
- Experience in activities like circuit block spec definition, top-level simulations, design verification, design for test.
- Good understanding of the cadence tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, good team player, thirst for continuous learning.
- Ability to take initiative and drive for results, to quickly ramp on new systems and processes
