Job Description

Texas Instruments is seeking an experienced SAP Basis Administrator for the management of the overall SAP environment with responsibilities like implementing, configuring, and troubleshooting the SAP technical environment. The administrator is also responsible for the installation, upgrade, and maintenance of SAP systems as well as scheduling and executing the SAP transport system. The resource should be able to configure, monitor, and tuning of the SAP technical environment. Also, be able to design interfaces between the SAP and external systems, optimize & analyze performance issues, and design the architecture of the landscape in a UNIX/Linux-based environment. Expected Roles and Responsibilities are as follows:

Role Responsibilities:

• Perform client administration activities like local client copy, remote client, client export/import, and creating & deleting clients.
• Perform backups, restores, and recovery for system refreshes.
• Provide support 24/7, which includes on-call rotation and Saturday maintenance windows eight times a year, and production Stops
• Perform printer or spool configuration & administration.
• Manage and monitor SAP databases and applications through Solution Manager.
• Knowledge of SAP ECC/S4Hana installation, upgrade, refresh, transformation strategies, and implementation, including expertise in SAP ECC/HANA administration and troubleshooting.
• Expected to be involved in performance tuning and root cause analysis.
• Expertise in SAP version upgrade, support pack upgrade, kernel upgrade, and OS/DB Migration.
• Expertise in SAP Single Sign-On with SAML.
• Good understanding of managing and executing UNIX/Linux/Windows scripts.
• Expertise in the configuration of Solution Manager, including monitoring, early watch alerts, and Focus build and Focus insight.
• Develop, implement, and execute SAP BASIS, HANA/Oracle policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and availability of SAP systems in support of the SAP applications.
• Provide Support and Guidance to the other Project and Development teams during the build, test, and productive operation of the project implementation.
• Setup and Configuration of Solution Manager Dashboards in order to monitor and administer the SAP systems.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, work in a team environment, understand and be responsive to project and customer needs.
• Ability to adapt and function effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment while working under deadlines.
• A record of taking initiatives, driving results, and accepting increasing levels of responsibility.
• Build credible relationships with peers and vendors, and continuous professional learning of SAP products.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or equivalent.
• 1-2 Years of experience across skill sets in the following areas

Expertise / required skills:

• Managing an SAP environment and managing day-to-day operations.
• Configuring, monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting the SAP Systems (ECC, CRM, GTS, BW/BPC, GRC, Process Orchestration, Solution Manager, Enterprise Portal, SRM, Gateway), as well as scheduling and running transports through ChaRM.
• Technical support and high-level leadership for SAP systems
• Establishing standards and requirements, evaluating and directing enhancements or upgrades, implementing processes for performance monitoring, and system configuration, design, and implementation.
• Highly self-motivated and directed with keen attention to detail
• Good knowledge and understanding of new dimensional SAP products, Technologies, and Methodologies (S/4 HANA, SAP BTP, BIGDATA, SDI, SLT, ILM)
• SAP BTP maintenance of global accounts, management of directories and subaccounts, and configuration of entitlements.
• SAP BTP Administration and Operations in the Cloud Foundry, Kyma, ABAP Environment.
• Good knowledge in SAP Solution Manager 7.2
