Job Description:

Join a dynamic team dedicated to enhancing colleague well-being! As part of our Retirement, Benefits, and Well-being (RBW) team within Total Rewards, you’ll help design and deliver programs that empower colleagues to stay physically thriving, mentally flourishing, financially secure, and socially connected.

Role Overview

This role is accountable for the operational delivery and oversight of Canada’s workplace wellbeing programs, with a focus on absence delivery and workplace accommodations. The Group Manager II leads multiple delivery streams through Team Manager, Specialist and Analyst roles and supports policy owners and enterprise partners to ensure accurate, consistent, and compliant delivery. A key focus for this role in its early years will be advancing digitization and automation efforts to simplify processes, strengthen operational efficiency, and improve the colleague experience.

What You’ll Be Accountable For

1. Absence Delivery

  • Provide overall accountability for absence programs, including STD, LTD, and statutory and non‑statutory leaves.

  • Oversee service quality, capacity, and service level performance across delivery teams.

  • Act as the senior escalation point for complex issues and delivery risks.

  • Support disability management policy owners through issue management, escalations, and vendor performance oversight.

  • Partner with the insurance carrier and internal stakeholders to improve delivery outcomes.

2. Workplace Accommodations

  • Provide strategic oversight of workplace accommodations for Canada‑based employees.

  • Serve as a senior advisor to Managers, Employees, HR Partners, Employee Relations, and Legal.

  • Maintain accountability for ergonomic, accommodation, and sign language interpreting services.

  • Partner with Real Estate, Technology, and Health & Safety on accommodation solutions and workplace changes.

3. Delivery Governance, Data Integrity & Program Management

  • Maintain accountability for delivery governance, data accuracy, reporting, and audit readiness.

  • Oversee complex data and control activities.

  • Drive operational efficiency initiatives, process improvements, and delivery simplification.

  • Monitor compliance and identify and mitigate delivery risks.

  • Provide program‑level oversight across all streams to ensure consistent, sustainable delivery.

What You Bring

  • Direct experience in disability claims management or accommodations/return-to-work claims management would be an asset.

  • Significant experience in HR operations, absence delivery, or workplace accommodations in a complex environment.

  • People leadership experience leading through Team Manager, Specialist, and Analyst roles.

  • Strong understanding of operational risk, controls, and service delivery governance.

  • Experience supporting policy owners and external vendors.

  • Strong judgement, decision making, and partnership skills.

Working Environment

  • Fast‑paced, high‑volume operational setting.

  • National scope with multiple stakeholder groups.

  • Focus on accuracy, consistency, and risk management over hands‑on case processing.

Why This Role Matters - Your leadership keeps colleagues supported during important life moments, while protecting the Bank through strong operations, clean data, and steady delivery. You help the team grow, simplify work, and make our services better every day.
