Job Details
Are you a seasoned industry professional and team manager, excited to take a team of high-performing financial planners to the next levels of sales and service delivery at TD Wealth? If so, then we have an exciting leadership role.
As Senior Regional Manager, Financial Planning, you will provide team and sales leadership, business development, referrals and ongoing mentoring to achieve targets and support a dynamic culture of results.
In addition, you will:
Oversee and lead a large and highly diverse reporting function for an area of significant risk, complexity or scope, while growing talent, developing skills and capabilities to achieve team and career goals
Lead a high-performing team of Wealth Advice Specialists and Financial Planners who are focused on acquiring and retaining committed customer relationships and earned business for the mass affluent segment
Provide mentorship, direction and motivation on sound business practices and compliance requirements in challenging yet collaborative environment to deliver strong results
Provide strategic partner relationship to leadership team on the management of the portfolio and financials, with deep industry and enterprise knowledge
Participate in cross-functional / enterprise initiatives as a subject matter expert to identify and enact strategic operational efficiencies and opportunities
Develop long-term plans for own area and influence beyond area managed
Actively manage relationships, processes and regulatory requirements within and across business divisions
Ensure all customer-facing activities support the client experience and improve the TD brand
Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite
Experience & Leadership
- Minimum 5+ years of senior leadership experience within Wealth Management, Financial Planning, or Financial Service/Banking
- Proven experience leading, coaching, and developing high‑performing teams in a results‑driven environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead within a complex, regulated environment, balancing sales performance, client experience, and risk management.
- Strong track record of driving business results, including growth in assets, revenue, referrals, and client relationships.
- Deep understanding of financial planning, wealth advice, and mass affluent client segments
- Strong knowledge of regulatory, compliance, and risk management requirements within the Canadian wealth management industry.
- Demonstrated capability to lead change, influence beyond direct authority, and execute long‑term business strategies.
Education & Professional Credentials
- University degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Currently licensed as a Registered Representitve with the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO), or willing to complete all requirements to become licensed within 6 months
- Completion of the Branch Managers Course and additional regulatory requirements to be completed within required timeframes, where applicable.
- Experience partnering with senior leaders and cross‑functional stakeholders to deliver enterprise and regional initiatives.
