Job Description:

TD Asset Management (TDAM), a member of TD Bank Financial Group, is a leading North American investment manager offering progressive investment solutions to both institutional and individual investors. For over two decades, the organization has established competitive market positions in active, quantitative, and passive portfolio management. As of December 31, 2025, TDAM and its affiliates manage over $508 billion in assets on behalf of pension, insurance, endowment/foundation, and corporate clients, as well as high-net worth clients and retail mutual funds.

In attaining this client commitment, TDAM has built one of Canada’s largest and most respected investment management and research teams with more than 220 Portfolio Managers, Associate Portfolio Managers, Traders and Analysts.

TDAM's Investment Performance and Portfolio Oversight team creates and provides analytics to measure the outcome of investment decisions across all TDAM mandates. The core analytic accountabilities will include performance measurement, attribution/contribution reporting and portfolio analysis across TDAM's suite of multi asset solutions and private assets. The role will also be required to assist the team in designing and developing various tools to support performance and risk analytics. The role will support a range of scheduled tasks, projects, ad hoc requests/problem solving and continuous process improvement.

Accountabilities

  • Provide investment risk analysis, performance reporting and attribution on TDAM’s fund of funds (FoF) mandates.
  • Create various dashboards/scorecards/reports to help the Private assets and Asset Allocation teams visualize the outcome of various investment decisions.
  • Support fund attribution analysis and commentaries within presentations and dashboards/scorecards for executives.
  • Participate in various projects and initiatives around Private assets and Asset Allocation reporting and analytics.
  • Contribute to enhancing the accuracy, quality and relevance of investment risk reports.
  • Actively participate in process improvement opportunities.
  • Support the timely and accurate completion of business processes and procedures.
  • Protect the interests of the organization – identify and manage risks, and escalate non-standard, high-risk activities as necessary.
  • Ensure documentation that is prepared / completed is accurate and properly reflects client / business intentions and is consistent with relevant rules / regulations.
  • Support the team by continuously enhancing knowledge / expertise in own area and participate in knowledge transfer within the team and business unit
  • Participate in personal performance management and development activities, including cross training within own team.

Specific Educational Requirements and Skills

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer science, Mathematics, Economics or Finance or similar is required for this position.
  • Proficiency in Excel, VBA and programming, with experience in, or a strong desire to learn: Python, SQL, JavaScript, is required.
  • Expereince using FactSet and MorningStar is an asset.
  • Completion of, or working towards, the CFA designations is an asset.
  • Past co-op experience in asset management or equivalent is preferred.
  • Strong Time Management and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with a sharp eye for detail.
