Job Scope

The Analyst will report to a Director in the APAC division, Singapore office, Global Transaction Banking. As an Analyst within the GTB team, he/she will be instrumental in supporting the GTB Relationship Managers, servicing both Financial Institutions and Corporate clients across APAC, for both Cash & Trade Finance products, working closely with the various origination teams across the TD locations globally.

Accountabilities for the Analyst role includes (but not limited to):

  • A client-facing role supporting the origination team providing account and relationship management of existing FI and Corporate clients.
  • Active client engagement by attending formal meetings and social events to develop and deepen relationships with clients and prospects.
  • Works closely with the Relationship Managers in Singapore, and across different geographical locations, to provide support in all aspects related to the business, including administrative, transactional and relationship management related activities.
  • Support the sales process and the relationship build out strategy for clients and prospects.
  • Prepare periodic reports and presentations, such as business analytic materials for existing/prospect clients, performance reporting, and service level reports.
  • Addressing client escalations with urgency while maintaining the highest level of service and support throughout the process.
  • Conduct market research and prepare data analysis as required (market/industry/clients/products/pricing).
  • Assist in annual and new client KYC review, documentation collection and signoff.
  • Prepare proposals and support response to RFPs, briefing notes, call reports.
  • Liaise and maintain positive working relationships with Global Operations Banking Services, across teams within GTB (i.e. Product Management, Compliance, Network Management) and various business groups throughout TD Securities.
  • Gain deep understanding of the GTB products related to both FI and Corporates businesses e.g. CAD clearing, Continuous Linked Settlement, Deposit accounts, Cash Management, Trade finance products (Import/Export Letter of credit, Standby LCs, re-issuances).
  • Understand the synergy between different desks within Global Markets in TDS, and how they complement GTB.
  • Coordinating with Client Due Diligence, Implementation & Legal teams to ensure smooth & seamless onboarding experience for clients.
  • Ensuring timely execution of deals for treasury clients via TD's platforms.
  • Day-to-day client servicing i.e. client queries, event coordination, feedback

Job Requirements

  • Active client relationship management skills with a keen interest in developing client relationships and growing the franchise.
  • General understanding of banking products & services.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to align with TD's and GTB's business goals.
  • Effective organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, with the ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-directed and a highly motivated individual who can work both independently and as a team player to deliver in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Demonstrates initiative, flexibility, and commitment, a self-starter showing curiosity and able to learn tasks quickly.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong business and financial analytical skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word/Excel/Access/Powerpoint).
  • Knowledge of the technology and operations involved in wire payments, paper clearing and the Canadian Payments settlement system more broadly is an asset.
  • Client support experience at the corporate/institutional level is of high interest.
  • University degree. Masters degree or relevant experience is an asset.
