Job Description:
This position reports to the Associate Vice President, Cyber Security Governance Remediation, Program Strategy. The Cyber Portfolio Lead is a results-driven individual, who thrives in a fast-paced, complex environment and is part of the Strategic, Planning & Execution (SPE) Team, and operates at a strategic portfolio level to ensure alignment between programs and projects to the GSD organizational priorities. This role highlights insights and opportunities to Senior Leadership to facilitate data driven decisions to optimize effectiveness and efficiency of the Global Security & Defence (GSD) portfolio.
The Cyber Portfolio Lead partners with GSD Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and executive stakeholders across multiple functions. In this role you will be accountable for the following responsibilities:
Job Description
Oversee a portfolio of projects within the GSD organization, working with Senior Leaders, enablement partners, and domain specialists.
Monitor portfolio investments and spend against budgets and forecasts, identifying trends, and potential opportunities.
Build relationships with stakeholders (e.g. Finance, Business Management Group, Procurement, Project Delivery teams, etc.) to run cross-functional meetings, gather and share information in order to deliver a streamlined and unified view of the Cyber portfolio.
Translate and summarize portfolio updates into clear, actionable insights to GSD SLT.
Monitor portfolio performance, identify risks, and escalate issues to ensure timely resolution and drive decisions as needed.
Conduct regular portfolio reviews and manage contingency allocations as required.
Work with other Portfolio Leads to understand pan-portfolio trends, inter-portfolio dependencies, deliver up to date snapshot views of the health and effectiveness of each portfolio.
Facilitate post-implementation reviews to capture lessons learned and benefits realization to help drive continuous improvement.
Work with delivery partners to help ensure data is kept up-to-date with the most relevant and recent information.
Serve as a point of contact for portfolio-level inquiries, fostering strong relationships with business and technology partners.
Job Requirements
Excellent communication skills both written and oral; active listener and ability to distill and consolidate information into clear and concise information.
Ability to thrive within an active environment with a high level of ambiguity with the need to be agile and adapt to last-minute changes / events.
Ability to navigate through a large organization and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to drive optimal outcomes and will have strong interpersonal skills to bridge the gap between different stakeholders.
Identify, assess, monitor, report on and help prioritize risk remediations.
Collaborate with partners by providing expertise to enable informed decisions.
Highly motivated individual
Ability and demonstrated experience in exercising sound judgment, dealing with sensitive information and situations.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills coupled with an ability to coordinate multiple priorities and deliver high quality work under pressure.
Ability to present to senior executives with strong interpersonal skills to bridge the gap between different stakeholders.
Strong understanding of financial management, expertise in identifying, evaluating, and mitigating regulatory risks.
Adaptable to strict deadlines
Data / Fact driven, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
University degree
