Position Overview
The Senior Manager, Governance & Oversight, will play a pivotal role in steering Risk Management's suite of transformation and remediation programs, including artificial intelligence (AI) initiatives, toward strategic excellence. This leader will be entrusted with designing and implementing governance frameworks, ensuring adherence, and collaborating across a diverse array of stakeholders. The successful candidate will ensure each assigned project aligns seamlessly with broader organizational goals, fosters innovation, and maintains the highest standards of accountability and transparency.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain robust governance structures and protocols tailored to transformation and AI projects, aligning with organizational policies, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement by regularly reviewing and refining governance frameworks and processes, incorporating feedback, lessons learned, and emerging best practices.
- Monitor external trends in AI, technology, and industry, ensuring the organization remains competitive and responsive to change.
- Evaluate potential opportunities for innovation and expansion within the transformation and AI portfolios, advocating for initiatives that deliver transformative impact.
- Develop and support standardized processes for transformation and AI project intake, prioritization, resource allocation, and milestone tracking.
- Establish and oversee governance committees or working groups as needed, ensuring diverse perspectives are represented in decision-making.
- Provide oversight across multiple transformation and AI programs and projects, ensuring adherence to governance standards and the realization of project benefits.
- Support the Transformation Office governance and oversight model, including the design and implementation of a structured challenge protocol at key project and program stages to rigorously test readiness, successful progression, and completion of planned activities. Refine overtime based on lessons-learned, industry standards and best practices.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for governance matters, providing guidance and support to executive sponsors, project managers, and cross-functional teams.
- Establish and oversee risk management protocols, ensuring that risks are identified, assessed, mitigated, and escalated according to governance policy.
- Manage stakeholder expectations through regular communication, updates, and stakeholder engagement strategies.
- Lead governance-related training and change management initiatives to foster a deep understanding of governance requirements and the benefits of adherence among all stakeholders.
- Oversee periodic audits and compliance reviews of transformation and AI projects, ensuring that all activities, documentation, and outcomes meet internal and external standards.
- Facilitate the resolution of escalated governance issues, conflicts, and roadblocks, ensuring timely intervention and alignment with organizational priorities.

Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, finance, project management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in governance and control leadership roles. Experience in project management, program governance, or AI/technology leadership roles are an asset.
- Deep knowledge of Risk Management and the Risk Management organization.
- Demonstrated expertise in establishing, implementing and refining governance protocols.
- Strong knowledge of AI concepts, regulatory frameworks, data privacy, and ethical issues.
- Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven track record of successful stakeholder management and collaboration in diverse, cross-functional teams.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- Undergraduate degree or technical certificate and/or
- 10+ years relevant experience
