Job Description:
The Director, Business Transformation is a critical senior role reporting into the Head of Transformation, Transaction Banking & Payments within TD Securities (TDS), responsible for providing hands-on business and strategic planning support to help drive the successful delivery of three major Transaction Banking transformation programs: The implementation of a market competitive Transaction Banking platform, multi-banking ledger in support of the Transaction Banking platform, and scalable, regulatory / standards compliant, and resilient payments platform.
This role presents an opportunity to contribute to a new way of working across business lines and support functions, and the build-out of the next-generation of TD’s Transaction Banking capabilities. The role requires a blend of strategic insight, operational expertise, and strong interpersonal skills to navigate the complexities of the Transaction Banking transformation landscape. Specific responsibilities include:
- Act as a trusted advisor to the Head of Transformation, Transaction Banking & Payments, providing strategic insights and recommendations to support decision-making and program execution
- Help oversee and manage the overall program’s strategic operational oversight, ensuring efficient workflow and prioritization of tasks
- Oversee key projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with transformation program goals and timelines
- Support the organization and preparation of materials for Executive-level meetings, ensuring agendas are aligned with program priorities and stakeholder interests
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among various stakeholders, including senior Executives, Transformation Program leads, Product Factory leads, Business team leaders, Functional team leaders (across Technology, Operations, Supporting Functions, etc.), and external partners
- Collaborate with the Head of Transformation, Transaction Banking & Payments to assess risks associated with the program and support the development of risk mitigation strategies
- Assist in the development and implementation of change management strategies to support organizational transformation
- Help coordinate interactions with third-party vendors, ensuring alignment with program requirements and objectives
- Lead navigation of TD internal processes to maximize speed of execution, efficiency, and function within TD policies (e.g., strategic sourcing)

Role requirements / experience:
- Extensive business experience and expertise in Transaction Banking across the mid-market and large corporate client segments (including strong knowledge of banking technologies, platforms, etc.)
- 10+ years of transformation at scale experience (prior experience in a similar role is highly desirable); Demonstrated track record of successfully managing large-scale organizational change initiatives
- Experience working in a multinational environment, with an understanding of global markets and cross-border transaction banking
- Strong project management skills, with experience in overseeing complex projects and ensuring timely delivery of outcomes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize data and provide actionable insights
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and adapting to changing circumstances
- Superlative emotional intelligence, problem solving, and team building skill
