The Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager, Project Management, the Field Project Manager is a member of the Customer Operations team and is responsible for providing oversight of TRUConnect AMI deployments at customer sites. The Field Project Manager will be the primary point of contact in managing these complex, multi-faceted projects and will be heavily involved in managing customer relationships.
Location:
This position will be based remotely within the United States from your home-based office, preferably in states such as IN, MN, MO, IA, or TN. Candidate’s must reside within one hour of a major airport as this position will require up to 50% travel.
Specifically, the Field Project Manager will:
- Plan, execute, monitor, and control projects from initiation through to delivery and commissioning
- Support customers in solving complex problems, as well as provide customer training and technical on-site support
- Provide leadership to multiple stakeholders to define requirements, establish system design, coordinate deliveries and report to customers
- Oversee systems integration – specifically, work with customer utilities in integrating TRUConnect AMI to other utility vendor systems
- Negotiate, implement, and supervise subcontracts, when required
- Regularly review and report on project performance to management and other stakeholders
What you Bring:
Education and Experience:
- A Bachelor's degree or advanced certification in Project Management, Operations Management, Engineering (Computer, Electrical or Systems), or other related field
- 6+ years of experience managing the operation, deployment and/or installation of large, multi-faceted projects in large IT, telemetry, control or communications systems/networks
- Customer/stakeholder management experience
- A PMP designation is preferred
- Experience in AMI/AMR, RF or Wireless communications is an asset

- Excellent collaborative and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency using MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
